“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”– Søren Kierkegaard
We tend to put so much pressure on the future and forget to live in the present. We will never understand what the future means until the answers we need are put in focus. The only way to get these answers is to keep living and let the story unfold. We must trust that each step paves the way to understanding. If we live in the past, we don’t’ expand our horizons, but if we live in the future, we forget to embrace the present.
Even though this quote tells us to live forward, don’t put so much pressure on what that future will bring. You will never imagine how your life will inevitably turn out, but what you should know is that it’s nothing like what you think. Everyday is a restart to build the best you. Live in that time and trust that as you look forward, your past will become clear and your future will be comprised of your present moments.
