“Now that you’re out of my life, I’m so much better
You thought that I’d be weak without you, but I’m stronger
You thought that I’d be broke without you, but I’m richer
You thought that I’d be sad without you, I laugh harder
Thought I wouldn’t grow without you, now I’m wiser”
The power we give to another is nothing like that power we draw from ourselves. Learn to take back the power someone else thinks they have. You control you, no one else deserves to have power over you. When we let go and remove the problem, we realize how much better off life can be. The clouds block our view when we are centered in negativity. Strip it away and the light burns through, shining more beauty and clarity than we saw before. You’re better, stronger, richer and wiser now that toxicity is gone.
“I’m a survivor
I’m not gon’ give up
I’m not gon’ stop
I’m gon’ work harder
I’m a survivor
I’m gonna make it
I will survive
Keep on survivin’”
Survivors don’t give up, they push and hustle to get what they deserve. They have survived their hardest challenge to date and learned how to be better from it. After falling and the dust clears, you realize you never want to give in to something that is covered in darkness…what kind of future will that bring you? You become a more resilient and almost invincible version of who you were. You survived and you made something gorgeous from something ugly. That’s strength, that’s beauty and that’s surviving!
I embraced the chase and let each moment flow as it’s meant to, maybe not caring so much about the outcome; that was something I had to learn. Laughing at my journey and hoping for better things to come. Feeling freedom in the unknown became my push to keep taking steps forward. Teaching myself how to live in the moment and take it day by day…living now, hoping for later.
